Loftus Training Solutions, part of Loftus Coaching & Consultancy Ltd was founded by Matt Loftus – an experienced Mental Health Trainer, Consultant and ICF Coach.
Having worked in the education sector for over 18 years, including as a senior leader in education; Matt then moved into an advisory role for an education technology company, as a consultant for safer recruitment and mental health lead. Since then, Matt continues to remain active within the education sector as a visiting university lecturer and lead governor for a primary school.
Matt specialised as an outdoor adventure professional during his teaching career, responsible for the planning and oversight of numerous adventurous expeditions for students and staff; including as an overseas expedition leader for secondary schools. The great outdoors plays a huge part in his own mental health and wellbeing self-care programme – with Matt being just as comfortable leading a group to a mountain summit, as he is in the training room environment.
Matt is a certified personal & business coach with the ICF and a partner with Core Strengths and their SDI 2.0 assessment programme, with a background in mental health training within the L&D sector, as a licensed provider of MHFA England courses. Matt utilises this specialism to provide wellbeing coaching to clients; helping them to understand the stressors in their lives, and the impact these have both at home and work.
Since becoming an ICF coach, Matt has been privileged to work with a number of fascinating clients; including senior high-performance business leaders, professional athletes and charity founders. More recently, Matt has delivered ‘resilience coaching’ for Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, West Bromwich Albion FC, Derby County FC, GB Archery and England Lacrosse.
Matt is passionate about sharing knowledge with others and supporting those experiencing poor mental health. He currently volunteers as a crisis volunteer for Shout85258; helping others experiencing anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation.
